Chenguang Xi

I am currently a research scientist at Applied Machine Learning (AML), Facebook. We power major Facebook products such as Ads, Feed, Instagram, Search via innovations in ML and AI. Our mission is to build cutting-edge AI technologies to connect people to the right information, people, and communities.

I got My Ph.D. in Dec. 2016 from Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Tufts University, where my advisor is Prof. Usman Khan. My research spans optimization, signal processing, and machine learning. I am especially interested in studying the mathematical models and algorithms behind problems that arise in the analysis and optimization of large-scale distributed systems.

I was born in Shanghai, where I got my B.Sc. degree in Microelectronics from Shanghai JiaoTong University in 2010. I received my Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Tufts University in 2013, when I was still an analog circuit guy researching in Visible Light Communication.
